IRAN: Children are being sold for under $60

NCRI – Children are being sold for under 60 dollars outside hospitals in south of Tehran, a city official has said.“New born babies are being sold between 100,000 to 200,000 Tomans (27 to 54 U.S. Dollars) in areas near hospitals in south of Tehran,” Fatemeh Daneshvar, the head of Social Committee of Tehran’s City Council has said, according to a report published by state-run news agency IRNA on Saturday.

Iran-After latest attack on dissidents, Western policy toward Iran must change

At the end of last month, the Iranian dissident community at Camp Liberty, Iraq, was struck by a barrage of rockets, which killed at least 24 people. The former U.S. military base, near Baghdad's International Airport, has served as a Transit Transfer Location for members of Iranian opposition, the People’s Mojahedin Organisation of Iran (PMOI) since 2011, when they were relocated there from their self-built community of Camp Ashraf. Their resettlement was attanged by the UNHCR under an agreement between the Iraqi government and the UN, endorsed and backed by the United States.

Iran: increasing crackdown of women under pretext of “improper hijab”

Crackdown against women intensifying in Iran

Hossein Ashtari, head of the police in Iran emphasized on continuing the regime’s crackdown policies. Police across the country will take measures against improper veiling and loud noises heard from vehicles, and these measures are considered specific violations.
“Abiding by these regulations are obligatory and traffic police will take action by fining drivers and other passengers inside the vehicles,” he added.
