ITALIAN SENATORS: PUT HUMAN RIGHTS BEFORE ECONOMIC TIES WITH IRAN

At a conference held in the Italian Senate on November 12, a majority of Italian Senators urged the government of Italy to put human rights before economic relations with Iran. “Any economic relations with Iran must be based upon an end to executions and respect for human rights,” Italian senators said in a statement issued on Thursday on the eve of a visit to Rome by the Iranian regime's President Hassan Rouhani.
