Iran- responsible for blaze in Iraq town


Following a blaze engulfing over 200,000 hectares of fields in the town of Badra of Iraq’s Waset Province by unknown men, the mayor of this town said Iran is responsible for this blaze, Al Tagheer TV reported.

The head of the Iranian regime’s judiciary recently disputed the very concept of international standards for human rights. “We don’t expect the West to impose its assumptions on human rights and human dignity to all societies,” Ayatollah Sadeq Amoli Larijani said during a meeting with Austrian President Heinz Fischer. In other words, Larijani believes that the Iranian regime should be free to redefine human rights to allow torture and systematic repression of dissent, and he would like the West to actively endorse that notion.

Iran shot put champion is now a street vendor

Shahin Jafari, the 19-year old shot put silver medalist from Iran in the Asia Games held in China, has been seen in Tehran as a street vendor trying to make a living.
Jafari, who also set a new record in Iran in 2012, says he lives in poverty and he received no reward or support for his achievements. In fact, after the Asia games when he hurt his ankle the track & field federation wasn’t even willing to send a letter so he would be able to receive free medical care.

Iran: female prisoner on hunger strike

Jailed child rights activist Atena Faraghdani went on hunger strike for three days protesting “bogus allegations” raised against her by security agents.
The mother of this prisoner said her daughter was charged on Saturday, September 12, of having “illegitimate relations” with her lawyer, Mohammad Moghimi for shaking his hand in prison. Even the lawyer has been arrested and transferred to Rajaie Shahr Prison in Karaj, west of Tehran. This arrest raised numerous protests from various lawyers. 



She was already sentenced by a so-called Islamic court to 12 years and 9 months behind bars on charges of “propaganda against the state, measures against national security, insulting members of parliament through drawings, and insulting Khamenei and the Revolutionary Guards (IRGC).” Faraghdani was arrested on August 23, 2014 by the IRGC and spent nearly two months in Ward 2A of Evin Prison that is under IRGC supervision. 

Iran- releases Al-Qaeda terrorists

Sky News reported Iran has released five senior al Qaeda operatives from detention and will soon allow them to leave the country, instigating fears they will join other terrorists in Syria planning attacks against the West.

According to Sky News’ intelligence sources, three of the five are members of al Qaeda’s ruling committee, the Shura Council.

NCRI - On Wednesday, September 16, at least nine prisoners were hanged by the Iranian regime in Gohardasht (Rajai Shahr) prison, Karaj and in Sanandaj.
