Iran: public flogging in the city of Parsian

According to reliable source, the first victim of brutal punishment of public flogging has been reported in the town of Parsian, Hormozgan province, southern Iran. 

Parsian prosecutor, Hossein Abbasi said after announcing the sentence that the 'judge has insisted on the sentence being carried out in public to intimidate other as a preemptive measure. The flogging must be viewed by people so others would learn a lesson.'
